The Lucky Cowgirl Club Shoot Day!

Let's go through our big photoshoot day!

I had wanted to plan a photoshoot for a while, but of course living in the UK, it comes with it's challenges for an outdoor shoot as we all know. (we actually moved the shoot to the day after it was originally planned and I can't explain how glad I was that we did - we ended up with perfect blue skies)!

I knew as soon as I wanted to plan a shoot that I wanted Jess and Kane from Studio Dark (Instagram - @studiodark_creative & @studiodark_weddings) for both photos and video - they are super talented and I knew they'd capture the vibe that I wanted to create perfectly. They are incredibly passionate about what they do, as well as putting their everything into each project, they absolutely go above and beyond!

Let's have a look at some behind the scenes shots should we...

Models wise, I actually wanted the shoot to look a little more organic so I didn't want agency models. This shoot was all about showcasing the lifestyle aspect of The Lucky Cowgirl Club. Of course the products are important but I really wanted to create a feeling more than anything - TLCC is way more than just a brand to me, I'm a very visual person and what better way to show a 'feeling' than through beautiful imagery and video (video coming soon).

Both Hollie and Mikayla already followed the brand and they both live and breathe country and western culture in their everyday lives which is the main reason I chose both of them for the shoot. I put out a model call on my Instagram and the rest is history!

Location - now this was obviously a big one, as re-creating that perfect western setting in North-West England isn't easy. The only thing I was sure on was it had to include horses. Again, I put a story out asking for recommendations and we actually ended up shooting the morning on a friend of a friends farm super local to us! We got some amazing shots of the horses (my favourite part was seeing them all running free in the field - honestly made me tear up. The most majestic creatures).

The afternoon was spent in Blackpool at Mikala's home (one of my beautiful models). Which is also where the incredible 1986 Ford F150 came into the picture (no pun intended). We were all left pretty speechless when we arrived and saw the most pristine truck you could ever wish for! Of course we all left wanting a truck immediately too.

The full day went so, so well and honestly I couldn't have asked for a better team of people from start to finish. The amazing thing about The Lucky Cowgirl Club is that it is absolutely more than just a brand, it is a community of likeminded, kind people and this shoot day really proved that to me. People that I felt like I had known for years and some I only met that day. An amazing group who just wanted to help and make it amazing, whilst being incredible flexible and patient with the English weather!

I can't wait until we can plan another shoot, although I'm afraid this one will be SO tricky to beat!

So, with all that being said, because let's face it I could blab on and on about the day for hours. I'll pop some of the official images in here for you to take a peek at, just incase you haven't seen me spamming them everywhere on my instagram already!

And there we have it, thanks for reading! I can't wait to share the video/s with you!

The Lucky Cowgirl Club is my baby, I have well and truly put my heart and soul into every aspect of it and I am so glad so many of you are loving what I have created. It makes me very proud to have built a community.
